I purchased a very cheap as-is Pentax P3 body in an attempt to repair it. I followed the service manual for instructions on how to take the camera body apart. That was a fun learning experience.
The camera itself has some dents and cracks. It appears like someone else tried to pry the lid off. There were also fresh batteries. When powered on, nothing appeared to work.
My investigation took me to the point of discovering a broken ribbon cable. This is where I stopped (for now).
