One evening at Eureka, NU some of us decided to take a walk up to the runway and back. As we were heading back towards the weather station complex we spotted a resting arctic wolf. As we continued to get closer walking along the road it stood up. The wolfs interest in us however quickly shifted as it spotted an arctic hare. The hare, who was also resting, was startled to suddenly see a wolf stand up.
The wolf decided the opportunity was at hand and the chase began, right in front of us. The rabbit gave everything it had. The wolf was amazingly good at handling tight turns. We lost sight of them as the chase went down towards the water. In the end, the wolf did get the hare.
