In the fall of 2006 and spring 2007 I was working as a lab operator at Eureka, NU. During those periods of time we were extremely fortunate to have a herd of Peary Caribou nearby.
We would drive from the weather station complex up to the PEARL Ridge Lab each day (weather permitting). A few times, the Peary Caribou were visible from the road giving us an opportunity to get some pictures.
On one special occasion, we managed to see the buck by himself just out the doors of the PEARL Ridge Lab. Little did I know at the time that one of those buck photos would be featured on a Canada Post stamp.
